I'm currently collaborating with a number of SMEs, providing project and engineering leadership.
9 years is a long time at one company. In that time, I've set up and led the Development and Architecture craft circles, and completed upwards of 20 projects. I'm most proud of my work for government programmes and the breadth of my knowledge sharing.
My time here was brief but impactful in that I led the dotnet development team, delivering solutions in a timely manner within a matrix-managed organisation, whilst coaching and setting up ways of working with other departments to support a growing company.
Under the mentorship of the technical director, I worked for several clients, providing tailored desktop, web and native mobile solutions in multiple disparate tech stacks with lots of client interaction.
As a work placement on my sandwich degree, I spent a year working on Java-driven software and hardware solutions.
I'm SC-cleared, and worked as an Architect for the Voter Cards project, as well as several other GDS projects on the national apprenticeship programme, and for the NHS. Public sector work is rewarding, and well-structured. Success in a politicised environment has required transparency, pragmatism and exceptional communication skills.
Recent clients: Cabinet Office/DLUHC, Civil Aviation Authority, Education and Skills Funding Agency.
As a consultant, I've delivered an e-commerce platform for Mars, customer service chat bot for the Very Group, and data pipelines and visualisation for Rolls Royce Marine, among other things. What I'm trying to say is that my experience is varied and similarly my skill set has developed to mould to the circumstances. From platform tooling development to facilitating domain design workshops, I am a versatile member of any organisation.
Recent clients: Rail Delivery Group, The Very Group, Mars Incorporated.
